Dr. Xiaoying Zhang is a Professor and a doctoral supervisor in the College of Construction Engineering at Jilin University. She is also an Associate Editor of Hydrogeology Journal and a member of the Groundwater Committee of the Chinese National Committee for the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS). Her research focuses on groundwater hydrodynamics and solute transport; geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste; multi-process interactions in coastal aquifers. Dr. Zhang has published more than 70 papers in academic journals across a range of fields, including Water Research, Water Resources Research, and Earth-Science Reviews. She has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists for two consecutive years. Dr. Zhang has led several major national research projects as chief scientist or principal investigator, including a National Key Research and Development Program project and three General Program projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
